The first season of the Apple TV+ series Invasion saw aliens, well, invade Earth. Viewers got to see the attack unfold through different perspectives across the globe, and while not all survived, the trailer for the second season suggests that humans are regrouping and maybe have a chance of defeating the extraterrestrial invaders.

Season two of the show takes place 121 days after the first attack, and sees humanity adapting and starting to fight back, whether that be with a lighter and hairspray, or by breaking into one of their ships to interact with some alien goo that might let the survivors know why the heck the aliens are attacking Earth. Despite these intense action scenes, the series, which has Logan producer Simon Kinberg on board as showrunner, is marketed as a character-driven sci-fi drama.

Those characters are played by actors Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Billy Barratt, Azhy Robertson, Paddy Holland, and Tara Moayedi. They are joined in season two by new series regulars Enver Gjokaj, Nedra Marie Taylor, and Naian González Norvind. Kinberg created the series along with David Weil, who also co-created and wrote the Prime Video series Citadel.

The first episode of Invasion’s second season premieres on Apple TV+ on August 23, 2023, with the remaining nine episodes dropping every Wednesday, with the finale on October 25, 2023.
